This cocktail is appropriately called the Fleur-De-Lis.
In the interest of full disclosure, I actually took this from a recipe in the Times-Picayune back about a year ago. I’ve had many of them and can tell you it really is the perfect late afternoon weekend drink on a warm day.
Here’s what you”ll need
– Gin
– Elderflower Liqueur (this is that St. Germain Liqueur that has a light green color and comes in a very nice looking bottle. See the photo above)
– Limes
– Cucumber
– Ginger Ale
Here’s what you do:
First, cut about 2-3 slices of cucumber (about a quarter inch thick) and muddle them in a cocktail shaker or large glass. Then pour in one shot gin, a half-shot St. Germain, and the juice of one lime. Mix that up pretty well and pour over ice. Then top it off with a couple splashes Ginger Ale, and enjoy!
